This next Saturday June 30th, 2007 will bring some of South Bay best bands to the Elks Lodge in Torrance. This day time show (3:30pm to 8:30 pm) will raise funds for the family of recently deceased Jen Kovacevich. An amazing vocalist that played with Ethel Meatplow, Dirty laundry, and others during her short life. Not only an extreme talent, but beautiful as well. She had an aura that made you believe she could have been as big as Gwen Stefani. It was quite a shock to learn of her passing for most of the South bay music scene. Our Prayers are with her.
The Bands playing the benefit are some of the cream of the crop of the Bay. All friends of Jen through her years in the scene. Bands include El Boogie, The Bourbon Saints, Epic Debauchery, The Radio Sweetheart, Million Kids, Rolling Blackouts, and Rosemary's Billygoat. Music will be spinning courtesy of DJ Dyl of the Sugarlight Girls. $10 donation will cover the entry and food that will be served. A great way to celebrate Jen's life, hope to see you there!
